Música y estructura narrativa. Un estudio de la estructura audiovisual desde el punto de vista de la música
Abstract
This work presents a comparative study of literary narrative structures (especially their derivatives, cinema and theatre) with those of musical «narration», which is a new and necessary approach to the world of audiovisual creation. These lines are the crystallisation of my reflections when analysing the organisation of a musical work and its parallelism with the cinematographic work. One of the main attractions of this essay is the comparison between concepts based on experience and what neuroscience tells us about the way in which our brain perceives the stimuli of a narrative. The foundations on which the following lines are based are not rules or norms that constrain creative freedom, but rather establish a basis for reflection on the elements that are the foundation of any narrative structure and that are before and “below” those that are specific to each language, forming the substratum on which the solidity of the works is based, whatever their genre or artistic modality.
