Political discourse: legitimation, naturalization or trivialization of corruption?

The pronouncements of the parliamentary period o political crisis in the Federal District, 2010 to present speeches that lead one to think of legitimation of political corruption in Brazil. Through Critical Discourse Analysis, in particular the assumption by Teun A. van Dijk (2006), some pronouncements of the Senate on this political crisis is analyzed in order to highlight what could be a kind of legitimization of political corruption in this discourse. Understanding the speech as a discursive practice, which is interested in discussing the legitimacy, from an examination of linguistic and discursive strategies employed in policy pronouncements that ultimately produce naturalization or normalization of corruption.
