Abstract

Reality shows that there are not quite noticeable differences in the lexicon used by congressmen and congresswomen. Variations among the representatives of political groups are not particularly perceived either. Some differences are only observed in the exchange of roles between members of the Government and opposition regardless of the supported option. These linguistic behaviours are justified by the adoption of routinely-made resources dominated by political correctness and the search for the bombastic. In a broad sense, these are basically euphemistic uses perfectly classifiable that, nowadays, have nothing to do with ideology or gender.
