Journal History

Anales de la Universidad de Alicante. Historia Medieval is a journal specialising in medieval history and medieval studies. Published by the Medieval History area of the University of Alicante’s Department of Medieval History, Modern History and Historiography Sciences and Techniques, it first came out in 1982.

Originally an annual journal, for some years it was published on a biannual basis. Starting from 2021, issues come out once a year.

The print edition (ISSN 0212-2480 and legal deposit A 477-1984) came to an end in 2020 with the publication of issue number 21.

The journal’s electronic version has been launched in 2021 (ISSN 2695-4257).

Also until 2023 (issue 24), works were published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence. From 2024, they will be licensed under a Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International licence (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0).
