From humanism to animalism: reason of being biped and cuadruped

Abstract

Reflection on the emergence of the so-called “animalism” of recent times within a literary-historical perspective of inscription of animals in the human imagination with what was called bestiaries, the supremacy for centuries of humanism to more recently be located in the dialectic humanism/animalism; all with enough perspective to appreciate the true meaning of life on the planet and the place we occupy as animals, our relationship with the rest of the animal kingdom, and exemplified by literary and theatrical representations of animals according to the imaginary human known by whom this signature. Literature and theater, therefore, do not cease to be perfect examples of our historical relationship with the habitat.
